During the Inca Empire, the Chaccu was an event of great cultural value in which a young Vicuña was carefully captured, a small cut was made in its ear and its blood was offered to the Apus.
The Inca, from a majestic platform, drank this blood in a «kero» to establish a spiritual connection with the Gods, and then threw the sheared fleeces into the sky, unleashing a magical chorus of voices and dances around them.
